Can CAD models improve project collaboration

I’ve been thinking about how effective CAD models are for enhancing team collaboration. In my experience, having access to a single source of truth in our designs — like the ones we create using AutoCAD, for instance — can really streamline communication. How have others seen this play out in their projects? Any tips on maintaining data integrity while enhancing access for the whole team?

I’ve found that regular check-ins with the team, using the latest CAD model, can help catch any discrepancies early. It’s amazing how much clarity it brings when everyone is looking at the same page. Do you find your team often updates the model in real-time?

Absolutely agree on the shared model being crucial for clarity! I’ve had success implementing version control to keep track of changes — makes it easier to revert if something goes wrong. How do you manage updates among your team, @lindsey_brown92?
