Ensuring Accurate Load Calculations in CAD

I’ve been working on a structural project that requires precise load calculations, and I’ve noticed that even minor errors can result in significant safety issues down the line. I’m curious about the best practices or software tools fellow CAD technicians use to ensure accuracy during the drafting phase. What do you find helpful for maintaining standards without compromising speed?

I get what you mean — load calculations can feel a bit like trying to find the coffee pot when it’s gone missing; a little off track and you’re lost! I use a mix of Excel for calculations and AutoCAD’s built-in reporting features to double-check everything. @CADGuru always says, ‘measure twice, calculate thrice,’ which I think is spot on for accuracy.
