What file-management or naming-convention systems keep you organized without slowing down urgent design cycles?
I keep a template project with “01_WIP”, “02_Release”, “03_Archive” and filenames like PRJ-1427_GearboxCover_rB; a CAD macro pushes the filename into part properties and the title block so I’m not double-entering under crunch. If you’ve got PDM, lean on auto numbers; if not, this avoids “mystery meat” models later. Do you release at the top-level assembly or per critical subcomponent?
