Blocking out my Q1 PD hours and torn between a structured Dynamo course or a Rhino.Inside + Grasshopper workshop; most of my week is reconciling millimeter-tight joinery with daylight-driven plan edits in Revit. Has anyone taken training that improved aesthetic integration and space optimization — preferably a workflow you re-use on a 1200 sqm workplace fit-out — rather than a one-off demo?
Rhino.Inside + Grasshopper helped most for the “daylight-driven” tweaks: we set up a graph that reads Revit rooms, optimizes workstation grids with Ladybug, then pushes families back — like a glare spellcheck. We’ve reused it on two about 1200 sqm fit‑outs; starter docs here: Rhino.Inside®.Revit. Caveat: Dynamo still wins for parameter cleanup and those millimeter joinery updates.
On a 1,200 sqm fit-out, a quick Dynamo course paid off: I built a “2 mm clearance checker” that scans joinery families against walls and auto-tags anything out of tolerance, so when daylight tweaks shift the plan I’m not re-dimensioning everything (). I still prototype daylight and workstation grids in Grasshopper/Ladybug and push results back, but if your Q1 hours are tight, Dynamo first gave me the biggest daily win in Revit. Small caveat: if you rely on Design Options, the GH roundtrip gets brittle — keep one live option or publish a set, @g_hughes_77.
