I was getting bloated DWG exports from Revit 2024 until I set layers to ‘By Category,’ checked ‘Export with shared coordinates,’ and hid ‘Imported Categories’ in the views — file size dropped about 40%, like the model went on a crash diet. If you need solids for downstream checks, @nina, IFC via the official exporter (GitHub - Autodesk/revit-ifc: IFC for Revit (2019+) and Navisworks (2019-2024)) is more predictable than SAT, but watch your unit mappings.

Quick example: turning on ‘Export views on sheets and links as external references’ in the DWG export setup kept my Revit 2024 sheet exports lean and easier for our CAD folks to manage. Small caveat: you’ll end up with a few xrefs per sheet, so if a consultant wants a single file, bind the xrefs before sending.
